This position includes direct supervision of approximately 18 HVAC technicians and an administrative staff of 5. The Sippin Energy service and installation department performs a wide scope of heating and cooling installations, including all types of heating oil, natural gas, and propane powered systems. The company provides a well-equipped installation crew, as well as an on-site sheet metal fabrication team and facility. The primary role of the Sippin Energy service department is to serve the needs of Sippin Energy Products heating fuel and propane customers, however extensive HVAC installations are done for non-fuel delivery customers. Sippin Energy Products also utilizes state-of-the-art equipment, including its service vehicles, tools and resources. The department is also significantly automated using a number of back-office and wireless software systems.

Here is a short list of our requirements for this career.

  • Ability to work effectively in fast paced team environment
  • A minimum of 10 years of HVAC working experience
  • Excellent communication skills with both customers and staff
  • An extensive understanding of computer software technologies
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Able to work effectively during times of high workload activity
  • A minimum of five years of management and or administrative experience, preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude, and be able to motivate staff

We have a great opportunity for a truck and auto mechanic to work on a variety of cars, truck, utility vehicles and tank trucks.  The majority of our fleet consists of late year model Mercedes Sprinter Vans, Kenworth and Peterbilt Trucks (Class 7 and 8), and a variety of cars and light trucks. Our Fleet facility is modern, clean and state of the art, with new lighting, new lifts, central lube and air systems. We have also recently upgraded our Fleet management system to provide reliable scheduling and maintenance.  Our fleet also utilizes a wide range of tablet mobile computer systems and electronic meters.

  • All applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of diesel truck or automotive experience
  • Technical automotive or diesel truck certification and/or schooling recommended
  • Class B or A CDL licensing recommended but not required
  • Experience is gas & oil fleet maintenance recommended but not required

Sippin Energy Products currently has available several seasonal CDL/hazmat heating fuel or propane delivery driver positions available. These positions are fantastic for those individuals who operate or own seasonal businesses that become very slow during the winter months.

These positions feature top hourly wages, driver efficiency/safety incentives, and a modern well-maintained fleet. Delivery area includes upper Fairfield County, and lower Litchfield County. All vehicles feature automatic transmissions, air conditioning, GPS navigation, computer controlled wireless delivery systems.

Our work is comprised of mostly residential oil heat as well as air conditioning and some oil tank work. Sippin Energy is regularly in search of talented individuals interested in a career in HVAC. Trade education or significant experience is a requirement of apprenticeship. We will generally judge applicants qualifications by the degree of technical aptitude they display along with their knowledge and enthusiasm. Apprenticeship may take from 6 months to two years depending upon what type of trade license the individual is pursuing. Sippin Energy will provide on the job training as well as seminar training.
