The decision-making process usually revolves around a handful of critical questions:

  • How old is your heating system? Is it 15 years or older?

  • How old is your heating oil tank storage system? Is it 15 years or older?

  • Are you concerned about your oil tank leaking?

  • Is your fuel tank taking up valuable space in your basement or garage?

  • Do you have potential uses for propane other than heat and hot water, such as cooking, clothes drying, gas log fireplace, swimming pool heating, emergency generator backup?

  • Are you concerned with heating oil prices, and the continued volatility in the marketplace?

  • Is your current system performing up to expectations

  • Is your current system noisy?

If you have answered yes to these questions, now may be the time to consider upgrading your home heating and hot water system to propane. Here are most of the benefits that you can expect.

  • Low prices
  • Between 20-40% lower than heating oil
  • Stable price (even in times of global conflict)
  • Price volatility is minimal, no comparison to oil due to domestic production
  • No tank in home, free up valued basement or garage space.
  • Lower equipment maintenance
  • Whisper quiet equipment
  • Versatility
  • No chimney needed
  • Enhances property value by as much as 10% or more
  • No environmental risk
  • High efficiency systems over 95%

High-efficiency propane heating and hot water systems

LP (liquid propane), heating systems are very unique and much different than home heating oil systems typically. They are very small, compact, in either floor mounted or wall mounted. Because of the incredible efficiencies (over 95%), they have no need for a conventional masonry chimney. They can be vented outdoors through the side of the home using a PVC plastic pipe, that also provides combustion air for the system.

They are whisper quiet, I mean really quiet! Sometimes you literally have to put your ear to the unit to hear it running, this is in sharp contrast to most Oil heating systems, especially older ones that are very loud, and commonly can be heard throughout the household.

Propane Tanks

Propane tanks are also located outside, typically we would use anywhere from 2 to 4 120 gallon tanks connected together that would be located on the side of the home. These can be leased from us or purchased outright. You can also purchase an underground propane tank that can be buried on site, that has a small dome exposes on the surface for filling. All propane accounts also include electronic tank monitoring that uses a cell phone service to ensure that you would never run out of propane under any circumstances, we guarantee that.
