Dave Sippin Helps Trailblazing Scouts BSA Troop 870 Celebrate Court of Honor

David B. Sippin, who also serves as Council President of the Connecticut Yankee Council, Boy Scouts of America, helped to induct one of the first Scouts BSA troops for young women and also presented a charter to Newtown Hook and Ladder who is sponsoring the troop. The event took place at Newtown Hook and Ladder on February 28th.

Dave was a contributing part of the welcoming ceremony as he has been heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America for many years and is also an Eagle Scout. While welcoming the new scouts he explained, “It is always exciting when we form a new troop here [with] Connecticut Yankee Council, but this is historic — this is one of the first Scouts BSA troops for young women. We welcome you to Scouting, and good luck on your journey.”

From everyone at Sippin Energy Products, we congratulate the six adventurous new young women into Newtown Troop 870 as well as Dave Sippin for his involvement and continuing support for the Boy Scouts of America.
